Located in Los Angeles, California, Rivo Alto Residence is an extensive renovation to an existing home on a sun-filled waterfront property. Through a singular volumetric exploration with a vertical oak clad exterior, this home is a modern and timeless retreat in the city.  Abundant indoor-outdoor connections maximize access to the water and numerous outdoor living spaces. A sliding shade screen provides privacy and relief from the sun while allowing natural light to the interior when closed. An outdoor shower tucked into the western side of the home allows for maximum time spent outdoors.

The Rivo Alto Residence feels open and spacious despite having a smaller footprint. The kitchen and living areas open to the outdoors via multi-slide doors on the southern and eastern sides of the home, creating a complete fusion between indoor and outdoor spaces. The interior palette is warm and modern, featuring white oak wood paneling and floating concrete stairs with a glass railing.
